“Life has a funny way of catching up to you. It usually occurs when you least expect it.” I don’t think these thoughts are original to
me, but I’m too lazy to figure out who really said them.
A year ago, we completed paperwork for a federal grant to
solve a long-standing problem with our property. Yesterday, we received an unexpected call
from the county office responsible for submitting the request, telling us the
grant had been approved. Now we have to
get our act in together and figure out what to do next.
Of all the problems we face, all the stresses in a normal
life, this is just one more. I know this
sounds kind of foolish since we initiated the request, but change is always
stressful. Hopefully this change will
bring peace and stability at the end of the journey.
