I
had a brief exchange yesterday with someone who accepts completely the talking
points of the Democratic Party. Who, it appears, must without reservation rush
to protect the perception that this President is a god, the Democrats can do no
wrong, and those who disagree with them are evil. The exchange has weighed on my mind all
night.
In defense of the President the individual said the need for national security supersedes the US Constitution. When questioned, they were quite positive it must. That is what so troubles me. If this is actually the position of a majority of like-minded politicians and supporters then we are truly a nation in decline.
